Remember me Thursday | Meet Boogie in San Diego, CA

“Millions of beautiful, adoptable pets will lose their lives in 2017. We all come from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, but together, we can raise our voices and share one life-saving message and literally save millions of pets on this one day.”

-Mike Arms, President and CEO of Helen Woodward Animal Center

Thursday September 28 is Remember Me Thursday, a day to shed light on orphaned pets. Now in it's fifth year, #RememberMeThurday is one of our favorite days to celebrate here at Boogie HQ. Of course we love to celebrate everyone's adoption day and give a shout out to the rescues and people who helped bring these four little wiggle butts into our lives, but we also love how easy this campaign is for everyone to participate in. Just post a photo of your beloved pet with the #RememberTheRescue and #RememberMeThursday hashtags.

According to the RMT website, last year people using #RememberTheRescue and #RememberMeThursday reached nearly 340 million people on social media!

We are very excited to be participating this year not only on social media but live and in person at the Helen Woodward Animal Center event at Balboa Park in San Diego, CA.  Boogie will be there to mingle with his friends, meet new friends and give our stinky chihuahua kisses. We'll also have Sesame, Bruno and Pina with us because...ain't no road trip like a four Chihuahua road trip! Plus, we wouldn't dare leave anyone out of a such an important day. Information for the San Diego event can be found here.

Please help us spread the word and get everyone talking about pet adoption! Participate today by posting a photo or video of your foster or forever pet and use the hashtags #RememberMeThursday and #RememberTheRescue. Visit the event website and be sure to follow Helen Woodward Animal Center on Facebook and Instagram!

Looking for our adoption stories? Click HERE! Thank you to the rescues APE Action, Lovebugs Rescue and the Palm Springs Animal Shelter for introducing us to these sassy little chi-chis. Adopting them has been the best thing we've ever done.
